Joanna Griffin

I am excited to be teaching for this session of classes! Homegrown here in Spotsylvania, I am a long-standing musician in the community. I hold a Bachelor of Music Education from Shenandoah Conservatory of Music and a Master of Education from Liberty University. Throughout my 21 years of teaching, I have taught in both private and public educational settings for pre-K through 12th grade. My courses included chorus, music theory, general/hands on music, hand chimes and recorder. I am a pianist by nature, but have also enjoyed performing on the clarinet and electric bass. As someone who enjoys an adventure, sky diving and hiking up an active volcano are at the top of my most memorable! I am also an animal lover, having owned various exotic and traditional pets throughout life. I currently live in the Lake Anna area with my family where we enjoy taking walks through the woods and swimming!
