Into the Woods-A CYT+ Show for ages 13-20

The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results. (PLEASE NOTE, THIS SHOW IS FOR AGES 13-20 due to mature themes.)
What is a CYT+ and how does it work?
A CYT+ is an audition based show for ages 13-20. We will audition in June and the rehearsals will happen over an intense 2 week process (9am-4pm daily). Those auditioning should be ready to do the work AHEAD of July rehearsals and come in OFF BOOK (knowing all lines/solos/duets for their role).
This will be a rigorous theater experience.
Audition info: Sign Ups will start May 9 (This is a change from May 1!)
For audition, please prepare a 1min 30sec song that shows your range. Act it out as you sing!
(We will not be doing monologues for auditions-just the song. No dance auditions for this show.) Please note, this is a difficult show and we only have 2 weeks in person. This means you should not audition unless you are ready to put in the work on your own time. Those who get a solo or duet should come to camp knowing it and just needing to clean it.
We plan to double cast the show to give more people an opportunity. Each cast will perform 3 shows.

We also scheduled extra MUSIC REHEARSALS before the 2 weeks begin. These are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED as there is a lot of music to learn for this show. If you can not attend these rehearsals, you will need to work on the music on your own.
Extra Music rehearsals will be: June 11th 10am-1pm; June 20 10am-3pm ; June 23 4:30-8:00pm

Audition Sign Ups
Audition sign ups will be available on Saturday, May 9 at 9am. You will need an account on our website to sign up for auditions.

To sign up or edit your slot, go to your child's info page in your family account, click on the auditions tab, and then the blue button to sign up or edit will be under their picture.
You will sign up for an audition slot on the CYT website and
then you will receive a link to complete digital audition forms.
There will NOT be paper audition forms to bring to auditions for this show.
Do I have to be available for both weekends of shows?
No you will only be cast and performing for one weekend of shows. It is best if you are available both weekends but you can specify if you have conflicts on a performance weekend.
**Please understand that not being available for one of the performance weekends could impact casting.**
You may list conflicts for one performance weekend but all rehearsals during the July 6-July 17 and the July 23 Tech rehearsal for the second weekend(if that is your cast) are
mandatory.
In addition to the mandatory rehearsals, we will have
three strongly encouraged rehearsals on June 11 from 10am-1pm, June 20 10am-3pm and June 23 from 4:30-8pm. During the two weeks of rehearsals, there could be work nights at the warehouse to help with sets. It is mandatory to attend at least one of the work nights.
Saturday July 11 from 9-4 is a Work Day for Into the Woods. This is to be attended by either the cast member or a parent sponsor for the cast member.
